Rail vehicle door division

 

HÜBNER Group:

HÜBNER has sold their rail vehicle door division to Knorr Bremse

At the InnoTrans exhibition in Berlin , Hübner GmbH has announced the sale, with effect from January 1, 2009 , of its rail vehicle door division to Knorr-Bremse GmbH, IFE Automatic Door Systems Division.

 

Managing partner Reinhard Hübner expressed his confidence that in Knorr-Bremse the company had found a reliable partner for customers who would successfully continue the division’s operations with their interests in mind.

 

Knorr-Bremse will continue to offer Hübner products at least for the duration of existing contractual projects and will also fulfill all the company’s obligations regarding service and spare parts supply. For its part, Hübner will support Knorr-Bremse during the transitional period. Employees of the division will be mainly transferred to other parts of Hübner, so as to ensure that the expertise of the established team will continue to be available to customers and Knorr-Bremse alike. Both companies will guarantee their full support for customers during the transition.

 

As a comprehensive system supplier, the HÜBNER Group manufactures key components for the transportation industry (for rail vehicles, buses, airport technology, automobiles and trucks) as well as medical technology products. The range of products and services includes the design and production of folding bellows, vehicle articulation systems, flexible gangway systems, window systems, PUR molded foam components as well as products made of rubber and injection molded plastic. In 2007 the HÜBNER Group posted sales of EUR 219 Mio. and employed a workforce of 1,600.
