Public transportation is refitting vehicles with finger protection

 

The influence of the World Cup on public transportation is already
noticeable. Most public transportation services in Germany's major
cities have started with the refitting of their vehicles and are
equipping these with jamming detection and protection systems made by
Hübner GmbH.

The finger protection systems prevent jamming of passengers or objects
during the closing of the door. Jammed persons or objects are recognized
and the closing process is stopped. The jamming detection and protection
systems are able to detect objects with a mere thickness of 5 mm. This
increases the safety for the passengers.
