REACH means: R egistration, E valuation and A uthorisation of CH emicals.
This regulation has the following aims:
For substances produced or imported in quantities of 1 tonne or more per year per company, manufacturers and importers need to demonstrate that they have appropriately done the
registration.
The European Chemical Agency in Helsinki is responsible for the registration. The manufacturer / importer must characterize the substance and must declare the risks that can be posed by these
chemicals.
HÜBNER GmbH supports the aims of REACH, which are in line with its own obligation regarding a responsible production, usage and handling of the products. To comply with the requests of REACH – which require the safe usage of chemicals for the whole life cycle – an intensive information exchange is necessary between supplier and customer.
HÜBNER GmbH is a follow-up user and it is one task of the company to secure that all used chemicals will be pre-registered. HÜBNER GmbH will give early information as far as REACH will have direct influence on the availability of HÜBNER-products. However, this influence should not be expected before the end of 2010. HÜBNER GmbH will also inform all customers at an early stage if – due to REACH - there will be considerable modifications regarding the product availability.
